YZY also sold the Tribune sweats with the newspaper taken off

The Cyrillic got all the attention. Вестник Трибун ran down a leg, across a back and over a chest in Gosha Rubchinskiy’s Christmas 2024 collection for YZY. Ye’d even worn it in Tokyo two months before it went on sale. But yeezy.com was quietly selling a second version of the collection, with the newspaper taken off.

By February 2025 its captures show a blank version of every piece, under handles like sp-01-02-blank and sp-06-03-blank. They’re the same garments with nothing to read, which makes them the plainest look at what Rubchinskiy actually cut. Even the raincoat had a blank twin, up 48 minutes after the printed one on Christmas Day. Hypebeast’s gallery of YZY’s images ran the blank SP-01 and SP-06 in all three colours.

Nine pieces at $20

Hypebeast’s Joyce Li counted nine pieces on 26 Dec 2024, each $20: two tees, a hoodie, a windbreaker, a raincoat, shorts, two sweatpants and socks. It’s Rubchinskiy’s follow-up to the “Gosha” drop that March. She called the colours white, grey and black, while yeezy.com’s codes call them 02 white, 03 mocha and 04 charcoal.

Two sweatpants, two shapes

The SP-01’s the wide one: a straight, loose leg with an open hem, the pant the print ran down. The SP-06 is the jogger, cuffed at the ankle, where the print sat small at the hip. Blank, in mocha, charcoal or white, they’re just plain sweatpants in Rubchinskiy’s proportions, and that’s the appeal.

Odd socks

The socks went their own way. There’s no Cyrillic on them at all. Each one carries a round emblem at the calf, and the two in a pair don’t match: one’s a ring of figures, the other a monogram. They came in the same three colours as everything else.

In a drop that shouted in newspaper type, the socks were the one place the branding shrank to the size of a coin.
