The Yeezy Gap zip-up missed Gap entirely and sold out on yeezy.com

By the time the Wayback Machine reached it on 26 Apr 2024, there wasn’t a size left. The navy zip-up on yeezy.com was gone from XS to 2XL. The listing called it the YZY ZIP-UP HOODIE NAVY, and the description was four words long: HALF RAGLAN ZIP-UP HOODIE.

The SKUs said more. Every one started with YZYGAPZIPUP. Gap never sold this hoodie: it isn’t among the products archived on yeezygap.com between December 2021 and Gap shutting the site on 25 Oct 2022. Eighteen months later it was on Ye’s own store with the partnership still in its product code, and it’d sold out.

The same week as the tee

It wasn’t alone. yeezy.com’s Yeezy Gap tee was up the same week, in black, dark grey and taupe, with SKUs starting YZYGAPSSTEE. Two pieces that never made it to Gap stores turned up on Ye’s own site together, both carrying YZYGAP in their codes. Nothing else in yeezy.com’s archived 2024 listings did.

It wasn’t the first Yeezy Gap zip-up to surface, either. In October 2023 What’z Up, a vintage store in Harajuku, had sun-faded ones on a rail. Nothing in its photos gives a style number, so whether they’re the same H14 is still open.

Half raglan, split pouch

Resellers call this one the H14. They’re yeezy.com’s own photos, and they show a blue YZY tab inside the neck, a zip that splits the pouch pocket, and ribbed cuffs and hem. Their file stamps say 26 Feb 2024. That’s when the photos went up, not proof of when it sold.

The half raglan’s the detail to check. It’s yeezy.com’s own word for the cut, so it’s the line to hold any H14 up against.

Dark grey and black: addresses, no pages

Navy’s the only colour with photos and a description in the archive. Dark grey and black had addresses on yeezy.com too. If those pages ever went live, the Wayback Machine wasn’t there to see it.
