The Dove No Seam Tee came in four colours. White wasn’t one of them

The dove wasn’t only on the hoodie. Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga went live on 22 Feb 2022. The $240 Dove Hoodie shared that first drop with a tee carrying the same white bird across the back. The Dove No Seam Tee retailed at $140 (2022). It went up next to the $120 Logo 3/4 Sleeve Tee and a $440 Padded Denim Jacket, on the Yeezy Gap site and on Farfetch. Vogue counted 25 looks in the lookbook that day, with the first eight up for order straight away.

It put the drop’s one graphic on a tee for $100 less than the hoodie, and it’s also one of the easiest Yeezy Gap pieces to get wrong. Resellers list it in colours that never show up on Yeezy Gap’s own store.

Washed black, made in the USA

The February tee came in one colour, washed black. The store copy ran like a spec sheet: 100% cotton, oversized, slightly cropped, double layer construction. It also said made in the USA. Each piece was “uniquely treated”, “items may vary”, and it shipped in four to eight weeks. The front didn’t carry anything but a tonal GAP arch. The dove, white with its wings spread, took the whole back.

27 May: black, dark blue and dark grey

Three more colours arrived with the second drop on 27 May 2022, as style 471281. The price didn’t move and neither did the double-layer build, but the store now filed it under YEEZY GAP BALENCIAGA, and the made-in line had gone from the copy. Its models, a 5’8” woman and a 6’2” man, both wore a medium. The day before, StockX said more than 44,000 Yeezy Gap pieces had already been resold on its platform.

Don’t mix it up with the plain No Seam Tee (471402). Same drop, no dove, and it retailed at $120 (2022).

White, beige and red: not on the record

Resellers also list the Dove No Seam Tee in white, beige and red. None of those colours appears among yeezygap.com’s archived product pages, which hold four: washed black, black, dark blue and dark grey.

If it’s got a dove on the back and it came from Yeezy Gap’s own store, it’s one of those four.
