Blue Tint wore SPLY-350 in red. A year later, Static wiped the stripe clear.

Blue Tint dropped on 16 Dec 2017, and it was the third new 350 V2 in a month, after Semi Frozen Yellow and the Beluga 2.0. It’s a grey and blue-grey knit with turquoise on the collar and sole, and SPLY-350 runs down the side in High Res Red.

Watch that red text. Over the next four years the pale 350 V2 shed it, then the heel tab, then some of the knit itself. By the time adidas ended the partnership in 2022, it was a quieter shoe.

April 2018: Ye teases see-through

Complex reported that Ye had teased a 350 V2 with see-through details in April 2018. By August the leaks showed what he’d meant: a clear stripe, with no SPLY-350 on it. The knit changed too. Complex saw straighter stripes where the old swirl had been.

December 2018: Static, and 5,000 reflective pairs

Static came two ways. The reflective pair went out on Yeezy Supply on 26 Dec 2018, capped at 5,000 pairs. The Non-Reflective followed the next day. A week earlier, Footwear News reported, Kim Kardashian had tweeted that they were her favourite 350s. The Non-Reflective came back in August 2023, when adidas was clearing the Yeezy stock it hadn’t sold.

September 2019: Cloud White loses the heel tab

Cloud White went global on 21 Sep 2019 in white, pale blue and grey, with the translucent stripe, in adult, kids and infant sizes. Hypebeast’s first write-up flagged something else: the heel tab was gone.

March 2022: Bone, which the leakers called Pure Oat

The leakers had the next white pair down as Pure Oat. adidas’s calendar called it Bone, and it went out on Confirmed on 21 Mar 2022. The white Primeknit sits over a perforated layer, there’s a see-through mesh strip on the lateral side, and the insole carries the Yeezy globe. It restocked on 20 Jun 2022.

Seven months after Bone, on 25 Oct 2022, adidas ended the partnership. Of the four, only Blue Tint still wears the red, and it’s the one adidas kept bringing back, as late as June 2024.
